We've always had a fascination with Flanders Red style beers & their links to brewing in the UK. We also love them - sour, but with a rounded sweetness; complex, but effortlessly drinkable. This will be our third blend, this time combining 10 barrels of varying aged beer - from 4 to 14 months. We used a mixture of pale, rye, wheat & chocolate malt to give a more complex profile. In the boil, aged hops were added to give the beer a note of tannins. Finally, the beer was aged in barrels, with our own mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria. The result is a deep ruby beer with tannins, spice, acidity, sweetness and a hint of oak and spice
